As summer winds down, it's time to start shifting gears and getting ready for a successful school year! One of the best ways to ease this transition is a couple of weeks before the first day of school, gradually adjust your family's sleep schedule. Coupled with an earlier bedtime, establishing a smooth morning routine is key. Have your child practice waking up as if it's a school day, get dressed, and prep for the day so that their school mornings are calm and free of chaos. It's also a great time to check in with your child's doctor to ensure all immunizations are up to date. Add some fun learning activities into your day like visiting the library to continue those great reading habits. Make plans to get involved in your school community by planning to attend Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings – it's a fantastic way to stay informed and support your child's education.
