📣 Volunteers & Workers Needed – Clear Lake Events

Clear Lake is looking for about 6-8 volunteers to help at an event:

🏃‍♂️ Home Cross Country Meet
📅 Thursday, October 7
We need volunteers to assist with:

Directing traffic

Serving as spotters along the course during the race

🏐 High School Volleyball Games (4 home events)
We're also looking for someone to run the score clock for our JV and Varsity volleyball games.

No experience necessary — we will provide training (score clock is a paid position)!

Hello everyone! My name is Becca Peterson, and I am from Turtle Lake. I graduated this past December from Upper Iowa University with my degree in elementary education. Forensic science students are exploring the Bertillon Measurement System that was used prior to fingerprinting and DNA information for identification of an individual person. Using calipers and measuring tapes, students are learning to make precise metric measurements.

Hello Clear Lake Community,

My name is Courtney Luke, and I am very excited to become a Clear Lake Warrior this fall as the new Title 1 Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist. I am very excited for this new role! Prior to this position, I taught for 9 years in Clayton as a 3rd grade and kindergarten teacher. I live in Clear Lake with my fiancé, Chase, my soon-to-be stepdaughters, Carstin and Caysen, our son, Waylon, and our chocolate lab, Nellie. When we aren’t running around with sporting events, we enjoy time at our cabin hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting new families and becoming part of the Clear Lake family!

We thank the Clear Lake Lions Club for their ongoing support! Not only did the group donate many boxes of school supplies to the elementary from their successful drive, they also donated over $1400 to the weekend backpack program raised at their August Golf Tournament.
