🍎 Applesauce Fun in First Grade! 🍏

Mrs. Kelly’s first grade students had a wonderful time making homemade applesauce! They helped peel, stir, and mash the apples while learning about how ingredients change when heated. The classroom smelled amazing, and everyone agreed—it was delicious! ❤️

Hi Everyone! My name is Nate Cunningham, and I live in New Richmond with my wife Maggie and our many kids. 💙 Buddy Reading: The Best Way to Spend a Morning! 💙

✨ Our 5th-grade students visited the kindergarten classrooms for a special buddy reading session. Seeing the big kids patiently guiding and reading to their younger buddies was the perfect reminder of how great our school community is.

Not only does this help our little ones fall in love with reading, but it also gives our 5th graders a chance to be role models and leaders. We're so proud of the kindness and responsibility they showed!

🎃✨ Mrs. Hoyt’s class wrapped up their Mini Pumpkin Unit in the best way possible — by carving 2 BIG class pumpkins! 🧡 Students explored what’s inside a pumpkin, from the slimy seeds to the stringy insides, and learned all about what makes these fall favorites so unique. 🍂

Hello! My name is Kim Elwood, and I am the School Counselor at the Jr/Sr High School. You may recognize me from the Clear Lake community where I live with my husband, Mike, and our three kids, Issac, Case, and Hudsyn. We spend our time riding side by side, pulling garden tractors, bowling on a few leagues, and running with our kiddos for their activities. This is my ninth year as a school counselor, and my passion is helping students figure out their interests and future endeavors. I am excited to be a part of the Warrior staff!

The Clear Lake Public Library, in partnership with the Clear Lake School District, hosted Minnesota author, illustrator, and educator Jason Walz on October 23, 2025.
Using his love of graphic novels and storytelling, Mr. Walz spoke with 7th-12th grade students about the importance of caring for their mental health and finding their creative "spark" to help navigate through tough times.
Small groups of junior high and high school students also had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Walz to learn more about his creative process and what it takes to become a published author.

Big news from our 6th-grade class! Today, our amazing 6th graders transformed into published authors as they read the books they created from scratch to our 1st-grade students!

This unique buddy reading session allowed our older students to share their incredible writing and artistic talents, while providing our youngest learners with engaging stories and inspiring role models. It's truly incredible to see the journey from an idea to a finished book shared with an audience.

We are so proud of our 6th graders for their hard work and creativity, and thankful for the sweet connections made between our classes. Bravo, authors!

Registration Details

Event: Registration Night

Date: Monday, November 10th

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: Clear Lake High School Commons

Costs and Fees 💰

·         Registration Fee:

o    $30 per wrestler.

o    $15 for each additional sibling per family.

Gear and Attendance Requirements

·         Gear Swap: You can bring your old gear to Registration Night to donate and swap it.

·         Parent Requirement: Parent attendance is required at Registration Night before practice begins. If a parent cannot attend, they must reach out to clearlakeyouthwrestling@gmail.com.

Singlet Deposit:

·         $50 deposit required to check out a singlet for the season.

·         The deposit is returned when the singlet is brought back.

·         A check is preferred for the deposit and should be separate from the registration payment.

Practice Information 🤼

·         Practice Start Date: December 2, 2015.

·         Practice Days: Tuesday and Thursday.

·         Practice Times (Based on Grade):

o    Pre-K Through 2nd grade: 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

o    3rd Through 5th grade: 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thank you to State Representative Duke Tucker for visiting Mrs. Rubles Civics class. Representative Tucker also provided each student with a handout on "How a Bill Becomes a Law" and a copy of the 2025-26 Wisconsin Blue Book. Thank you for your time!

A small team of students, accompanied by Mrs. Amundsen, traveled to CESA 11 for an engineering event featuring the Science Museum of Minnesota. They kicked off the day by learning how engineers solve problems and then dove right into challenges!

They tackled everything from "Roll for Engineering" to "Bridge Builders," and even got to try Rocket Launching! Our students were excited to learn about the engineering process and collaborate to solve challenges.

This is just the beginning of the innovation. Our second graders can't wait to bring their new engineering skills and challenges back to their classrooms to share their knowledge.

Hi Everyone! My name is McKenzie Gamache, and I live in Clear Lake with my daughter AdaLynn. We love to swim and watch movies with our extra time. I am a Special Education Paraprofessional here at Clear Lake. Something interesting about me is that I love to craft. I am excited to be a Warrior and part of the Clear Lake family.

It is a big week for fall sports as we enter the WIAA playoffs. Volleyball on Thursday, Football on Friday and Cross Country on Saturday. #goodluckathletes
