And they're off! We celebrated our 6th graders' graduation yesterday. The ceremony featured 6th-grade choir and band performances, Class awards and achievement awards, and heartfelt speeches from our students. A special thank you to the parents, teachers, staff, and Administration for all you do to prepare them for this big day! Wishing the Class of 2032 the best as they embark on this new chapter. We are extremely proud of you!
The Clear Lake School District places high value not only on academics but character as well. Bittersweet moments today as we say goodbye to our amazing 6th graders! To send them off in style, we kept our favorite tradition alive and had them lead the entire school in one final, epic Tooty Ta! 🎶💃 Seeing them lead the younger kids with so much confidence (and zero shame about those silly moves!) proves just how ready they are for the next chapter.

Thank you to John Nagel, engineer at Oxbo, for taking the time to speak with Mrs. Petersen's Careers class about his work in engineering!
John passed around some samples of products he designed in his role at Oxbo, giving students a firsthand look at the engineering process and the impact engineers have on the products we use every day.
He also discussed how he decided to pursue a career in engineering and offered valuable advice for students who may be interested in the field. It was very interesting!

Armed with order tickets and play money, the classroom transformed into a bustling marketplace. Students took turns playing the roles of hungry customers and savvy business owners—all while mastering the real-world skill of counting money and making change.

🏃♀️ TWO SCHOOL RECORDS SET AT SECTIONALS!
History was made at the WIAA Sectional Meet in Marathon last night as Clear Lake athletes set not one, but two school records!
⭐ Pole Vault
Congratulations to Alissa Burbach on breaking her own school record in the pole vault. Alissa cleared 9'6", surpassing the previous school record of 8'9" that she set earlier this season.
⭐ 3200 Meter Relay
Congratulations to Alissa Burbach, Kiley Munson, Natalie Arcand, and Addy Warner on setting a new school record in the 3200 Meter Relay with a time of 10:12.44. Their performance broke the previous record of 10:12.90, which had stood since 2010.
Even more impressive, the relay team has lowered its time by nearly 40 seconds since the conference meet less than two weeks ago!
Congratulations to these athletes on their incredible accomplishments and for earning their place in the Clear Lake record book! 💙

🍎 Summer Meals Available at Gaylord Elementary
The Clear Lake School District participates in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), a federally funded program that provides nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session.
Our goal is to help ensure that all children in our community have access to healthy meals throughout the summer.
📍 Location: Gaylord Elementary School
🍽️ Meal Service: Congregate style — meals are served and eaten on-site
📅 Dates: June 10–30, when summer school is in session
🥞 Breakfast: 7:55–8:45 a.m.
🥪 Lunch: 11:00–11:45 a.m.
Who Can Participate?
All children ages 18 and under can receive free meals. No registration or application is required.
What to Expect:
Meals are served and eaten on-site at Gaylord Elementary School in a supervised setting. Meals cannot be taken off-site.
